Hey, I’m Sharne!

Founder & micro wedding specialist

Welcome! I’ve been capturing the magic of micro weddings and elopements for over 8 years (in the industry since 2009), travelling all over Australia—from the Red Centre to Far North Queensland and beyond to do what I love.

My absolute favourite thing? When couples decide to do things their way. It’s the ultimate recipe for zero regrets, guaranteed.

I’m here to make sure your experience is smooth sailing with a kickass team by your side. And of course, I’ll make sure you get all the gorgeousness of a micro wedding or elopement, without the hassle of a big production or planning fatigue.

I’m based in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne with my partner, our son, and our furbaby (I’m a dog & cat person). When I’m not juggling life, you can find me sipping on a coffee (almond latte pls), enjoying great food, squeezing in a cardio boxing sesh, or adventuring with the fam in nature.

    Relaxed and engaging. Alyce’s experience working in education means she is the perfect celebrant. Super organised, super lovely and a people person. Alyce will be all over the smaller details while making you both feel super relaxed on the day for a beautiful ceremony.

    Shaun believes your ceremony should be filled with fun, laughter, and most importantly, love. He wants your guests leaving the ceremony on a high as the perfect start to the day. We love his laid back style and think this approach perfectly suits couples wanting an intimate wedding.

    Jorgia brings the perfect balance of humour and heart to your wedding ceremony. Her style is engaging, warm and welcoming which means your ceremony is the celebration your romance with a sprinkling of some light-heartedness throughout.

    Briggsy brings all the vibes on your day, he has this beautiful knack of providing direction without having you feel like you are being posed. Photo time with Briggsy is fun and relaxed. Briggsy has shot over 800 weddings and is renowned for his high energy and passion for what he does.

    Clarke will make you feel super relaxed in front of the lens. He is quick witted and hugely creative meaning you get a mix of gorgeous imagery with an authentic feel.

    Dan is a laid back, super witty and legend of a human that happens to also be an amazing photographer, a great combo for your wedding day. Dan captures the real moments and helps you feel super relaxed for the rest of your photo time.

    PHOTOGRAPHER/FOUNDER

    Apart from working closely beside you to create micro weddings and elopements as MWC’s founder, Sharne is a photographer in her own right, photographing over 1000 weddings across 16 years in the industry.
    Sharne takes on a limited amount of weddings a year and loves every minute of capturing a couples day and all the moments in between ensuring your photo time is fun and relaxed.

    Sarah (Sare) is an amazing modern content creator capturing real, candid moments across micro weddings and elopements.

    Using a mix of iPhone, drone, and real-time audio, Sare creates short-form, cinematic social media focused films that feel natural and honest—highlighting the laughs, fun, bts and in-between moments you might’ve otherwise missed.

    VIDEOGRAPHER
    We are stoked to have Zac on our team as a videographer. Zac gets the value of micro weddings and how amazing they can be as he and his wife Louise were married this way. Shooting for 8 years, Zac’s approach is to concentrate on less posing and rather hone in on the real stuff and the emotion of the day.

    Andrew is a renowned videographer that has worked around the world to bring his videography skills to couples for their big days. Andrew finds the excitement in the everyday, he has a unique ability to capture the small interactions that no one else may see, the perfect eye for wedding days featuring big, and intimate moments.

    Renate brings our beautiful cakes to life. They are not only gorgeous but delicious as well! Renate has been in the wedding industry as a dedicated cake maker for years. She is widely respected in what she does and we love that she brings her talent to our couples for their cake needs.

    Aimee is an amazing florist with a passion for sustainable floristry with vast experience in Weddings and Events. We are excited to have Aimee as part of the MWC team with her commitment to using sustainable, low waste mechanics, sourcing local, seasonal produce (using NO FLORAL FOAM) in her work.

    Katrina is an award winning hair and make up artist that has been creating gorgeous wedding looks for 15 years. Katrina will help you feel super stress free in the lead up to your ceremony for your intimate wedding.

    Serina splits her time between weddings and corp work for TV. She is a hugely experienced make up artist that has worked with many Australian & international make-up brands in events, fashion, and editorial which means she knows her stuff for your big day!

    Simone has been working as a professional hair and makeup artist for the past twenty years in all fields of the industry including photographic, television, runway, print and online advertising. Simone’s passion for wedding hair and makeup was sparked when working on editorial shoots and runway shows for well-known wedding magazines magazines and since then my focus has been on creating commercial quality wedding hair and makeup for your wedding day.
